God Grows On You
Simple words from loving thoughts.
Can ease a ravaged soul.
A soothing voice may calm your fears.
When anguish takes its toll.
A friendly smile can make your day.
Sometimes that's all it takes.
It's just enough to let you know.
There's hope for hearts that ache.
Look for the light through darkened skies.
Though it might be hard to see.
Just don't be blinded by the sun.
It blocks what sets you free.
Search deep inside your spiritual self.
There's a seed that wants to sprout.
Like new sown grass that waits for rain.
It lies dormant in a drought.
So let Gods love pour down on you.
And nourish you with his grace.
Within him is the breath of life.
And a future to embrace.
