"Hold on for one more day".
Do you know how many times this was the only thing that has gotten me through countless, desperate days in the past? I had to just keep saying this to myself over and over again because tomorrow was the only hope that I had to hang onto.
Even though the future might look pretty grim, you have to put yourself into the survivor mode and reach deep down into the bottom of the barrel to try and find a purpose to wake up to yet another day. And then you have to do all over again the next day, because one day at a time is the only way it can be done. It almost seems like you're trying to grasp something that is completely unknown to you and is way out of your reach, but you still have to believe it is there.
It took me alot of painstaking years and many, many 'one day at a times' to make me realize that the driving passion that was growing in my soul that I've been avoiding all these years and trying my best to drink around, was God. It was God calling and I was finally lucky enough hear Him.
But beware, because you see, satan has a way of filling these desires also that can fool you into believing that everything is perfect, but in reality he is substituting God's calling with a false hope by ways of drugs, alcohol, money, lust and many other tactics to lure you in.
God's way is through love though and can never be mistaken by the devil's strategy of scheming & conniving because love can NEVER be associated with evil. So please, if you are in an unbelievably tough place in your life and think that any kind of peace or happiness is not possible in your future due to an addiction, depression, failure or whatever, just hold on for one more day. That's all it takes to discover Jesus and realize that there is love in your life now, and there is love after life. Through our loving God.
