Let It Go

So little of what we feel is ever expressed,  but is left inside us to forever be forgotten. What a waste! 
Why can't the light within us shine wherever it may, instead of casting a shadow inside our soul? Break your chains  and let the chips fall where they may because if you truly believe in God then  nothing is by chance. The only thing we have control of is doing nothing and the only place that it will get you is nowhere. Taking refuge in the safe haven in your head might never find you confrontation in life, but it will never find you satisfaction either because you can't  find peace of mind unless your mind is at peace. Believing in God will put your mind at peace without question because having absolute  faith that you will spend eternity with Jesus  in heaven gives completion to your life and in turn,  frees your mind.
So take a chance and open up your heart to others (at the risk of being rejected) instead of doing nothing and regretting it later on. If your kindness goes unnoticed just let it be, because the few that let your light shine in, outweigh the ones that don't by far. 
God created us first, to love and glorify him, love our brothers & sisters, but also to except the love that others have to give, because just giving to others but not opening your heart to what they have to give back? --- Well, thats being pretty selfish and one sided. 
Let light in your life and quit living with love in the dark.

One Chance

When in doubt, think of this. 
If you were to leave this world today would you be ready?

 Everything you ever worked for, saved for, fought for, now mean nothing. 

All the worries & stress you endured to try and get ahead no longer exist. 

Everyone of your possessions, meaningless or priceless, that you have obtained over many years are gone as if you never had them in the first place. 

All of your accomplishments and all of your dreams that you've spent a lifetime planning are now about as important as a puff of smoke that has dissipated in the wind.

All that matters now is how you lived your life for God and tried to keep his word. 


There are no other options. 


One life, one chance, one with God.

A Letter to Me, From Me

So why the mask? I know who you are. You're not fooling everyone , but most important  your not fooling God. The little bit even I can uncover by what you're masquerading , don't you think He can see right through even the shrewdest of costumes you try to disguise yourself with? You might fool all of us most of the time but you're not fooling God any of the time.

 Don't  you understand this? You can never cover up who you really are. The way God created you is the way you were meant to be. It is not a 'like it or not' situation here and should never be looked at like that. It is a done deal who you are and you should never try to hide it in any way. But you should try to make it better and use what God gave only you, because you are the only one who knows what that is. 

God will help you accomplish this because this is his purpose for you and it will please him to see you shine in his glory. Others may not see this but it doesn't matter because even though you may not realize it, 
you are planting a seed in them and one day if it grows, they will remember that it was you that opened the door to Jesus for them. 

So please, just be yourself. Your true self, because there is no one that you have to try and impress, not even God. He loves you just the way you are.

Stay True

In the midst of all that is evil  and unholy ...... in this world, it is only natural that on the opposing side of it all is God's love for us which always prevails if indeed we genuinely invite him into our heart. 
But having synthetic belief and artificial compassion with an attempt of trying to make an "investment"  on redemption  will not fly. Salvation  just doesn't work that way. It's not like you can just put your devotion on  layaway and put a deposit down in the faith department to keep God on hold till it suits you ......when you can finally fit him into your life. 

If there is a reason that Jesus Christ is not your highest  priority in life, then you haven't truly felt the immeasurable power of His greatness towards us. It is like nothing you could ever turn your back on. Once you get filled with the Holy Spirit and become elevated in exaltation and yet still feel a humbleness that reminds you that none of this could be possible without the grace of God;  your old life just seems like a boring and sometimes, bad dream.  Most of my life has been without Jesus Christ in it. Now I just can't imagine life without him in it!

Growing

Sometimes I wake up at early hours of the morning with a feeling of despair & sadness and I just can't put my finger on why. Is it my past coming back to haunt me? I asked God for forgiveness years ago and I know he threw my past sins into the 'sea of forgetfulness' , but it really is not that easy for me to just try and magically pretend that things that happened never happened. 

Oh, I know they happened and believe me I have others around me to remind me in ways that they don't even know that they're doing it. But I know. I can tell. But is it through me that they are testing my faith, or their own? Are they trying to pry into my soul to see if I'm for real, or are they trying to justify  the way that they feel inside ? 

It's like some people don't want to believe the concept of a God, but there is something inside them that wants to know why others do. They're not content until they can somehow bring you down to their level and knock you off your so called "Holier than Thou" pedestal.


 Why is this? Now that's a question with an answer that would  end wars. I heard something once that makes alot of sense to me. Just like a plant needs stinky fertilizer to grow, so do we. So all this smelly, stinky stuff happening around me is God's way of fertilizing me to make me grow stronger! 


Maybe I should thank these people instead of feeling ill of them. No, I dont think so, but I will thank my Lord and Savior for staying by my side and not giving up on me.

Hang On for One More Day

What a difference a day can make if you just put your complete trust in God.  A miracle might reveal itself in the dawning of a new day that will infuse a passion in your soul like you have never known. It's like the birth of a child of God that  just took place right before your very eyes. It is you!  This is the power or the Holy Spirit. This is the omnipotence  of our Almighty King in action. Follow God's lead and go with it, even when it gets unbearable . 

You might get to the point where you wonder why He lets certain setbacks happen in your life and where it might take you, because in your mind there can no purpose  whatsoever for why he does this. But there is a reason! Just wait and find out why. Don't quit now!

 Don't ever give up on your spiritual journey with God  because this is YOUR journey and you  must follow  it to it's final destination. It might happen in a day, but it was all those  years of struggling and sacrificing while putting  your trust in God that lead up to it. 


I've learned a valuable lesson in my personal relationship with Jesus Christ in this past year.  It is that you can't make a deal with God..........but if you stay strong and keep your trust & faith in Him, and it is genuinely from your heart (because He knows when it isn't)..........then God will prevail and your prayers will be answered.
