Like A Magnet

Please give me strength to keep following in your footsteps Dear Lord. Let Your Holy Spirit always shine on me and lead me in the path of Jesus and I will humbly do my best to honor your word. 

In my mixed up mind, I always  try to figure everything out on my own and just when I think I'm heading in the right direction , you put up another detour sign and steer me on yet a different course . It really gets me down & confused a lot of times and I know, that is when I  just have to put all my trust in you to keep on going where I was destined to go. I will continue to pray to you, my Lord & Savior,  not just  when I'm in need of something,  but to let you know that I thank you for all that you do in my life.

 It's a funny thing about praying. I've found that  when I ask for your help or guidance , you do it in your own way , even if it might not have been the way I would have done it, you will get it done. And you do it in the time that you know is right ; it's not always right away. Sometimes I've noticed that when I'm just about ready to put one of my prayers  in the 'dead files' and just learn  to live with it , that is when you shine through so very bright and it lifts my spirits up like an angel. 

You are so amazing the way you work yourself into our lives Dear Jesus. The little miracles that you make happen for each of us personally is like a spiritual bond. A heavenly magnet sort of, that draws us to each other. 

Your words Dear Lord and Your acts are the glue that hold this incredibly vast, intricate , miraculous  puzzle, called Earth  together.

Another Rainy Day

Did you ever notice that when it rains it brings  your activity levels down a little bit ? You maybe lounge around ,watch a movie, take a nap, catch up on some reading , go shopping or even go outside and play in the rain. 

But you want to know  what my plans are? I'm going to just lay here on the couch, free my mind and let the Holy Spirit talk to me. What message will He bless me with today?  I don't know.  I never know, but it will be in a future writing.  

A rainy day can have a very inspirational and calming effect on a person and let you bring yourself to terms with God and make it right with Him. 

Try it sometime, you'll find it has amazing results

What if you're wrong?

Before the Holy Spirit entered my life and during my time searching for it, I used to do alot of reading on the  proof of Jesus's existence & the odds of all life happening by natural process.   And also on the other side , I'd read books written by atheists to try to see how convincing they were with their evidence of no God. When you're not  sure about your belief, reading about both sides of this story can be very interesting. 

But now that Jesus is part of me and part of my life there is nothing that anyone can ever say that will convince me otherwise about my relationship with my Lord & Savior . Today when I hear somebody trying to discredit God and the Bible it doesn't make  me stop & think and go, "Hummmmmm, they might have something here ".

 No! They have nothing. They can say all they want about evolution and their theories  (which they say are not theories, but facts) about how science proves the non-existent of God, and I just have one thing to say to them.

"WHAT IF YOU'RE WRONG? !!!

Snow????

Prepare for snow! 

You've been hearing for a while now that snow is coming. You have no knowledge of how to predict the coming of snow, but you hear what's been going around .

 It's been on the news about snow. 

Everybody's been talking about snow. 

You prepare your life for the snow that they say is surely going to descend from the heavens, and you believe snow will come even though you have no proof of it. 

Your just taking somebody else's word that it will happen, but still, you have faith in these forecasters . 

Some people get very joyful and excited about the upcoming presence of snow and can't wait for it to get here. And then there are those who want nothing to do with snow because all that it has ever done in their lives was bring them unwanted worry and delayed their original plans and way of life. 

Snow embodies  so much anticipation but afterwards reveals a purity and beauty upon the earth  that only snow can leave behind. Why cant we all just accept that snow is a way of life that will never change.

 Snow has always been part of our lives in the past, and snow will come again.   Now,,,,,,read this again and replace the word "snow" with "God!"

Squeaky Clean

On March 10, 2017 

Please don't take me this morning,  Lord. There are still a few issues that need to be ironed out as I deal with my dirty laundry. It seems like when I hang all my personal barriers out to dry it always starts to rain, but I know the sun will eventually shine. I really need to reassess my life and get rid of a lot of excess baggage that has been cluttering up my soul to make more room for the Holy Spirit. I need to clean out the closets of my past and restock them with a fresh new beginning with Jesus. And when I'm finished Dear Father, shower me with Your grace and cleanse me with Your love and forgiveness until I'm squeaky clean, and please let me stay unblemished until we meet.

Do You Know What Today Is?

Good morning all.
Do you know what today is? Today is the day after yesterday & the day before tomorrow and if you think about it, right now, today, is the only chance we'll ever have to live for this moment in our lives, because tomorrow it will be yesterday and will be gone forever. There really is no guarantee that we'll have tomorrow. 

Does this make sense?

 If it does , then there is no better time in our lives to praise God than right now, today!
